HOW IT WORKS

Pick six. Lock them in. Track daily.

Students choose six personal daily goals: two Mind, two Body, two Heart. Once chosen, they’re locked in for the full challenge. No swapping halfway through.

  1. Choose your six. Two from each category (Mind, Body, Heart).
  2. Commit. Your six are your non-negotiables for the full run.
  3. Track each day. Quick checkboxes + simple trackers keep it real.
  4. Do the +1. A shared end-of-day reflection prompt (rotates daily).
  5. Repeat. Habits don’t change lives once. They change lives daily.

What’s inside the booklet?

Everything needed to run the challenge with minimal friction: commitment page, daily tracking, and guided reflection.

Commitment + Non-Negotiables

Students write their six goals (two per category) and sign a simple commitment. It sets the tone: you’re making a promise to yourself and your team.

Daily Tracker Pages

Each day includes quick checkoffs for the six goals plus simple trackers (steps, mood, and a “rate the day” snapshot). It’s structured, but not suffocating.

+1 Rotating Reflection Prompts

The reflection changes each day to keep it fresh: pride moments, encouragement, patience, handling stress, distractions, learning, fears faced, and more.

Final Reflection

A short wrap-up that asks what was hardest, what mattered most, how the student grew, and what they’d tell a friend. Great for a class discussion or a written response.

Ready to run it with your group?
Print the booklet, set a start date, and use the +1 reflection as your daily check-in. One day at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my goals after I pick them?

Nope. The challenge is about commitment, so choose wisely and stick with it.

What if I forget or miss a day?

Write it down, own it, and keep going the next day. Missing once doesn't mean you've failed.

Do sports practice or PE count for exercise?

Yes, as long as you really participate.

Do audiobooks count as reading?

No. This one's about focused, eyes-on reading.

Do I have to do pushups and situps all at once?

Nope, break them into smaller sets throughout the day.

What counts for an act of kindness?

Anything that helps, encourages, or serves someone else, big or small.

Can I use my phone to listen to music after 10 PM?

Music is okay if it helps you sleep. No scrolling, texting, or videos.

What if I don't have a book for reading?

Ask a teacher, librarian, or friend. There will always be something to read.

Do I have to write my reflection in the booklet?

Yes, but it can be short. Even one or two sentences count.

Is this about perfection or punishment?

No, it's about consistency, accountability, and growth. Students learn to reset and keep going.

What if my student struggles with one of the goals?

Encourage them to stick with it. That’s part of the challenge. If needed, they can modify safely (e.g., incline pushups, walking instead of sports).

How do teams work?

Teams are mixed-grade groups designed to encourage new connections, support, and accountability.

How will progress be tracked?

Students log daily in their booklet, and teams check in weekly.

The 6+1 Challenge is about daily progress, not perfection. Every sunrise is a fresh start. Win the day, one step at a time.
